A team of U.S.
engineers has succeeded in developing a conduction system wirelessly with an
efficiency of 40%. Although it is too large to have practical applications,
verification of its operation will enable the smaller versions, which can be
used to power portable devices such as computers or phones. In this way, we'd
get rid of cable clutter, needed for battery recharging, now accompany many of
our everyday appliances.
